Multi-Storey Car Park (MSCP) in Stoke

The open air nature of this project demanded a solution that could withstand external exposure and structural movement while still meeting the required fire resistance performance.

• Structural steelwork located in an external, open-air car park, exposed to weather and temperature variation.
• Works carried out at high level, requiring careful planning for access and installation sequencing.

We implemented a fire protection board system designed for external durability, integrating deflection detailing and a controlled high-level installation process to ensure compliance and consistency throughout.

• Structural Fireproofing Systems Ltd (SFS) installed a fire protection board system to the structural steelwork, selected for its suitability in an external car park environment.
• Deflection details were incorporated into the installation to accommodate structural movement while maintaining fire resistance performance.
• Works were completed by FIRAS-accredited operatives, following manufacturer guidance and approved installation details.
• A controlled installation process was adopted for high-level works, ensuring safety, quality, and consistency throughout.
• All installations were recorded with photographic QA evidence and documented in line with project compliance requirements.

The project was completed by fully accredited operatives, with deflection requirements, compliance, and full QA documentation successfully achieved.
