Project Evolve is a national residential development programme comprising approximately 50 near-identical apartment buildings, delivered across multiple locations.
To date, five buildings have been successfully completed, with further projects programmed nationally.
The repeatable nature of the design required a consistent, compliant approach to firestopping, supported by robust documentation and quality control.
The Challenge
Delivering a firestopping solution across a national programme of identical buildings required a plan that could be replicated across multiple sites without changes in quality or compliance.

Our Solution
Using a structured plan to be used across all Project Evolve buildings, ensuring every site was delivered to the same approved details with a full compliance documentation at handover.
- Structural Fireproofing Systems Ltd (SFS) developed a standardised Project Pack applicable across all Project Evolve buildings, containing approved firestopping details, product data, and QA requirements.
- Firestopping works on each site were delivered strictly in accordance with the Project Pack, ensuring consistency across the national programme.
- All installations were completed by FIRAS-accredited operatives, experienced in high-volume residential construction.
- Photographic QA evidence was captured and logged digitally for each building, providing a clear and auditable compliance record.
- Lessons learned from early phases were fed back into subsequent projects, continuously refining efficiency and quality.
The Results
A standardised firestopping model has been established across five completed buildings, with full certification and replicable framework supporting the wider national programme.
