These are generally factory formulated blends of non-asbestos mineral fibres and inorganic binder which provide a jointless insulating coating for thermal and acoustic insulation; they also provide fire protection and a degree of condensation control. Most systems can be treated with various encapsulation coatings which bind surface fibres and dependent on the system, can provide a hard, decorative, textured surface.
