These systems provide a paint quality finish to the profile of the steel. Due to the thin coatings applied, care must be taken to calculate and apply the correct loadings to each steel member, resulting in a dry film thickness (DFT) which, during a fire, swells to a meringue like ash providing the fire protection rating.
